Spring Ball brings our Risby families back together

On Saturday the 2nd of April, we were finally able to welcome our Risby families back together for a night of partying at the first big PTA event since the start of the pandemic.

The Family Spring Ball delivered on its promise to be the party of the season. There was a wonderful atmosphere building as the DJ pumped up the music, the dancing started and families began to fill the hall. Everyone had a chance to try their luck at the fun money casino and catch up together with their drink of choice. The food, sweets, ice cream, glitter tattoos, glow in the dark accessories and air guitars were a huge hit and kept energy levels high!

Congratulations to Lucy Farrell (parent), who won the fabulous Easter Hamper raffle first prize, and William Pulley (in Year 3), who won second prize.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported the ball by volunteering, buying tickets, entering the raffle or donating money! You are the people who make events like this possible, which is incredibly important for our fundraising efforts for the school and also for giving everyone an opportunity to get together for some fun after what has been a very challenging two years. Special thanks go to Marie Evans (PTA Chair) and Amanda Poole (PTA Treasurer), who were the main organisers of the night and ensured it all ran smoothly along with our other fantastic PTA committee members and helpers.

If you were not able to join us on the night, we missed you! There is still a way you can support the fundraising if you would like to, by donating at https://www.risbypta.org.uk/donate. All funds raised go towards this year’s fundraising target to help buy new playground equipment for the children to enjoy at school.
